I am proud to share that www.focalpointsolutions.co is now live! While the company has been around about a year, and I’ve been with FPS for about 2 months – until today we had a very simple landing page with our logo as the webpage. In this day of technology, having a website with information on what we do, how to contact us, who we are, etc. is not only important – but business critical. It is for these reasons that I am super happy to see the site live on the world wide web.

The site is built on WordPress, as we opted for a simple, trusted CMS system that we could easily manage and apply elegant branding as well as a responsive theme that would allow for ease of use on desktop browsers as well as mobile phones, tablets, etc. I use WordPress for this blog, and while I’m a SharePoint Guy through and through – WordPress is a fantastic platform both for blogging and internet sites and I’m proud to see our site live on WP. Having said that, in the long term I would love to “eat our dogfood” and move the website to SharePoint Server 2013 – perhaps on SharePoint Online/Office 365. That’s just my personal goal though. 🙂

I can’t say enough about the dedication of the primary developer who worked on the site, I won’t list his name on the world wide web – but he knows who he is and he did a stellar job at bringing our vision to fruition.
